Welcome to the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen (ISNS).
ISNS was founded in 2002 through the foresight and partnership among the Government of Canada, the Province of New Brunswick (), and Dr. Francis Pang, with the vision to educate and embrace the whole child. The goal is to foster a diverse student body through an exceptional education, instilling in young people a love and joy of learning, an ability to think independently, and the confidence to take risks in pursuing their dreams and goals. We offer an English-based, Canadian curriculum. The Canadian curriculum is internationally recognized (see PISA results, ), and our graduates are readily accepted to universities worldwide with an ISNS transcript of marks.
Our purpose-built school campus on Nanguang Road in the Nanshan District of Shenzhen, China, is a place where students can learn in a nurturing and safe environment. A full out-doors track and field, playground, indoors gymnasium, and courts for basketball, volleyball and tennis provides a variety of spaces for outdoor sports. Indoors, classrooms and laboratories are equipped with the latest technology for innovative lessons. Our library, music, art and dance rooms are fully equipped to add a creative and enriching dimension to each student’s learning experience.
All of our teachers are well qualified to teach at their respective levels, meeting Canadian certification standards or the equivalent. The faculty is a wonderful blend of the experienced and the young with the majority of the staff recruited from Canada. Our guaranteed low student-teacher ratio assures that each child’s individual needs can be met. ISNS provides a nurturing and supportive community, with a committed faculty that cares deeply about each and every student.
