Changchun Foreign Languages School is a provincial state school coming under Jilin Province Education Department. It has received Ministry of Education approval as an international school to popularize Chinese.

The school is located in the city of Changchun,Jilin Province and is well-placed to fulfil such a function. There are 3500 students in the school who are provided with different language classes such as English, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Spanish and so on. The international department building of 18,000 square meters, which the school has newly built,seeks to incorporate study,food and beverage facilities,living accommodation, a relaxation area and fitness centre into an integrated unit.

It consists of 12 multimedia classrooms, 4 pronunciation rooms and also offers different cuisines such as Korean, Western, Chinese, Islamic etc. There are different sports facilities,including a badminton hall, a table tennis area,a gymnastics room, etc. to encourage physical fitness.

The standard dormitory room provides accommodation for 2 persons.

Mode of running the school

1. Professional Chinese classes

These are divided into elementary, intermediate and advanced classes. The school offers courses such as Chinese pronunciation,intensive reading,spoken Chinese, listening, extensive reading, writing and Chinese culture. Length of schooling is 1-3 years.

2. Ordinary teaching classes

3. Short-term training classes

The summer and winter camps provide short-term training classes for foreign students who intend to study Chinese during the summer and winter vacations.
