重庆邮电大学移通学院成立于2000年，是经教育部批准（教发函〔2004〕41号），由重庆邮电大学举办的独立学院，属全日制普通本科院校，面向全国招生。

学校位于重庆合川大学城，校园依山傍水，环境优美，交通便捷。学校建有标准化实验室、现代化大剧院、高规格图书馆、万画影城、风雨操场、室内恒温游泳馆等一流设施设备，目前占地面积2131余亩。现在校学生21000余人，专任教师近1200人。现有通信与物联网工程学院、智能工程学院、大数据与软件学院、淬炼商学院、远景学院、中德应用技术学院、艺术传媒学院、外国语学院、数字经济与信息管理学院等9个二级学院，爱莲书院、花果书院、别都书院、南湖书院、天渠书院等11个书院，思政教学部、通识教学部等 4个教学部，以及完满教育委员会、创意写作学院、双体系卓越人才教育基地、钓鱼城科幻中心、钓鱼城研究院、德国研究院等多个特色部门。共开设通信工程、电气工程及其自动化、轨道交通与信号控制、财务管理、工程管理、广播电视编导等36个本科专业，通信技术、工商企业管理等4个专科专业，形成了以工学为主，管理学、艺术学等多学科交叉融合协调发展的专业体系。

学校实施全员书院制育人。书院作为社区化、交互性、共享式的育人平台，支撑学校“信息产业商学院”办学愿景，匹配“完满教育”育人理念，依托家文化和领导力双核驱动实践服务式管理、生活式学习、社区式教育，为学生创造社区共享与朋辈互助的新圈层。现有专业集中式书院3个、社区文化式书院7个、文理式书院1个。

学校坚持实施国际化战略。继与德国安哈尔特应用技术大学，联合成立中德应用技术学院以来，已与德国、美国等国十余所大学签署合作办学协议，广泛开展中外联合培养的硕士、本科双学历教育活动，目前已输送出近八百名学生到国外深造，在校预备赴德学生1700余人。

学校特色办学成果斐然。近年来，在社团活动、志愿服务、艺术教育、竞技体育等方面共获市级以上奖项2267个，其中荣获全国最热公益校园、中国戏剧奖·校园戏剧奖、全国校园铁人三项赛邀请赛总决赛第一名等国家级奖项820个。学生参加国家级、省部级各类专业学科竞赛获奖上千项，其中获全国大学生数模竞赛一等奖、中国工程机器人大赛暨国际公开赛特等奖第三名、2次获“西门子杯”中国智能制造挑战赛全国总决赛一等奖等国家级奖111项、国家一等及特等奖30项。近5年，教师共承担市级及以上教学科研项目129项，公开发表论文757篇，其中核心期刊论文159篇，被SCI、EI检索12篇，获各类专利36项。出版著作教材221部。

学校人才培养质量成效明显。近年来学校毕业生就业率一直保持在92%以上，高就业率、高用人单位满意度等居于全国同类高校前列。现学校累计毕业生近5万，就业主要分布在通信、制造、软件开发等行业，基本实现对口就业。在世界或中国五百强企业就业的学生占比达到10%，服务我市第一支柱信息产业的毕业生占比达到60%以上。

College of Mobile Telecommunications, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (hereinafter referred to as the college), founded in August, 2000, is a full-time undergraduate college ratified by the Committee of Education (Document [2004] No. 41) to be an independent college sponsored by Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and entitled to enrol students nationwide.

Located in the university town of Hechuan district, Chongqing municipality, the college, embraced by mountains and rivers, is blessed with beautiful environment and convenient transportation, and enjoys a campus covering over 2,131 mu of land, and boasts such first-class facilities as standardized laboratories, modern theaters, advanced library, Unique Paintings Cinema, Storm-proof Stadium and indoor heated swimming pools etc., providing service to over 21,000 students and approximately 1200 teachers.

The college has its distinctive school-running characteristics, and effective talent-training measures. The unique talent training system of “business education + well-rounded education + general education + specialty education” is explored through innovative practices. The “new engineering” and “new business” of clusters of majors have shaped a scientific layout and reasonable structure. “Well-rounded Education” builds a large platform for innovative quality education with the four sections as “Community Activities, Volunteer Service, Competitive Sports, Art Cultivation and Practice”. “General Education” forms a curriculum system based on the combination of civic awareness, global vision, humanistic care, scientific spirit, artistic creation, and aesthetic appeal. Unique education projects, as Creative Writing College, Double-system Talent Training Base, Quench Business Leadership Training Camp, Entrepreneurship College, etc., bear a mature brand, leading the west. The Fishing Castle Science Fiction Center, Fishing Castle Research Institute, Fishing Castle History and Culture Museum, Fishing Castle Urbanization Research Institute and other departments are based on the local area, and closely integrate talent training with local services. The college implements an all-staff education system within the concept of Residential College. As a community-based educational platform characterized by interaction and sharing, the residential college system provides support for the college’s vision of the Information Industry Business College, matches the concept of “Well-rounded Education”, and with family culture and leadership cultivation as its dual cores, explores service-oriented management, life-style learning, and community-based education to create a new circle of community sharing and peer assistance for students. Currently there are 3 residential colleges featuring specialty, 7 featuring community culture, and 1 featuring liberal arts.

The college has been insistently carrying out its internationalization strategy. Since putting into place the Sino-German College of Applied Technology cosponsored by Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany, the college has signed collaborative agreements with 10-odd universities from Germany and the United States, co-running graduate and double degree undergraduate programmes, has up to now sent some 800 students abroad for further study, and presently has over 1700 students in store preparing for their planned study in Germany.

The college has achieved outstanding results in its distinctive school running. In recent years, the college has won a total of 2,267 awards /ministerial level or above, in competitions about community activities, volunteer services, art education, and competitive sports, of which there were 820 national awards including “Nationwide Hottest Public Welfare Campus”, “China Drama Award & Campus Drama Award”, and the first place in the National Campus Triathlon Invitational Finals. Students participated in national, provincial, and ministerial-level academic competitions and received over one thousand awards, including the first prize of the National College Student Digital Simulation Competition, the third prize of the Special Prize for the China Engineering Robot Competition & the International Open, and the first prize for the “Siemens Cup” China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge National Finals twice. In total there are 111 national prizes and 30 national first and special prizes. In the past 5 years, teachers have undertaken a total of 129 teaching and scientific research projects at the municipal level and above, published 757 papers, with 159 papers in core journals, 12 retrieved by SCI and EI, and 36 patents of various types obtained, and published 221 textbooks.

The quality of the college's talent training is remarkable. In recent years, the employment rate of our graduates has been maintained at more than 92%, and the high employment rate and high employer satisfaction are among the highest nationwide. The college has a total of nearly 50,000 graduates, and the employment is mainly distributed in industries such as communications, manufacturing, and software development. The proportion of students employed in the world's or China's top 500 enterprises has reached 10%, and the proportion of graduates serving information industry, our city's first pillar, has reached more than 60%.

The school-running effect has been widely recognized by all walks of life: The college has won the second prize and excellent prize for “Outstanding Achievements in Party Building and Ideological and Political Work of the National Private Universities of the Ministry of Education” for two consecutive years; The college is one of the city's first Demonstration Schools, Garden-style Units, Digital Campuses, and Employment Demonstration Centers; There are over 30 honors including China’s Top 10 Outstanding Independent Colleges, China’s Top 10 independent colleges with the Highest Brand Value, Chongqing Garden-style Organization, Chongqing Digital Campus, and Chongqing Advanced Group in Employment Work for College and Secondary School Graduates. the advanced group of graduates from the municipal colleges and universities. The Intelligent Engineering College is the only approved secondary college of Transformation & Development of Undergraduate Colleges among the independent colleges in our city. 7 majors have been selected into the municipal-level “Project of Specialty, Discipline and School with Characteristics” and “First-class Specialty”, and the major of Control Science and Engineering has been involved in the key municipal-level project. The college has 1 Municipal-level Teaching Team, 1 Famous Teacher, and 1 Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teacher. In 2013, the college was listed by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of reform pilot universities of applied sciences in China; in 2014, it was rated as Sino-foreign cooperative college of the most comprehensive strength; in 2015, it was rated as a “Typical University in Employment with Social Influence in China”; in 2016, it was rated Chongqing Employment Demonstration Center; in 2017, the college won the third prize of Chongqing 5th Teaching Achievements Award; in 2018, it was evaluated as the “Chongqing Advanced Group for Employment and Entrepreneurship of College Graduates.
